 | Retired Marine gives back to junior rifle club |
 CHINCOTEAGUE -- When he was a kid, Jack Whitney learned to shoot at a
rifle club as part of a junior team. After a long career in the Marine
Corps and the FBI, where he served as a countersniper and taught
marksmanship, Whitney decided to give back to the sport that started
him off as a shooter.

 The Eastern Shore counties of Accomack and Northampton face losing

 OAK HALL -- Arcadia's Trae Handy has been named Player of the Year in
the Eastern Shore District. Handy, a junior point guard, helped lead the
Firebirds to the Eastern Shore District regular season championship and
the district tournament championship.

 CAPE CHARLES -- During the spring of 2010, between March and June, the
arts community in Virginia will present a celebration of the arts
featuring performances, exhibitions, literary readings and films on the
theme of women in the arts. "Minds Wide Open" is the title of the
statewide arts collaboration.
