 | Hargis robbed of $3,800; fatally shot with .357 Magnum |
 ACCOMAC -- The man charged with murder in the slaying last August of
Albert Hargis was carrying about $3,800 in cash after the slaying, a
witness said -- and the last person to see Hargis alive noticed the
victim was carrying "a big wad of money" earlier that day.
Another witness said at a preliminary hearing Friday [February 13, 2009] in Accomack
General District Court that the defendant, Louisiana resident Jowarski
Russell Nedd, tried to sell him a .357 Magnum pistol on Aug. 14 -- the
day Hargis was killed after being shot in the head with his own .357
Magnum.
