Crowd begs Star Transit to keep routes

MELFA — Some of the area’s most vulnerable residents spoke Wednesday [Feb 3, 2010] at a public hearing about changes to STAR Transit, the only public transportation service serving Accomack and Northampton counties.

Company officials said they also have received “a tremendous amount” of phone calls and letters protesting upcoming changes that could leave some current riders without service.
