$350 fee imposed on incidents of reckless driving, driving without a license, leaving the scene and more
ACCOMAC -- The Accomack County Board of Supervisors will hold a public
hearing on Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. to take comment about a proposed
ordinance that imposes a flat fee of $350 per incident where impaired or reckless driving of "a motor vehicle,
engine, train or watercraft," driving without a license, driving with a
suspended or revoked license or leaving the scene of an accident is
involved.

 | County gains $2.5 million in software switch |
ACCOMAC -- Accomack County gained a nearly $2.5 million dollar one-time
windfall this summer after changing to new tax billing software and a
semi-annual billing cycle for personal property taxes. Most of the money
will go into the county's rainy day fund.
